Appointments
Routine appointments
For non-urgent issues, please follow the guidelines below and choose the right service, which can help you without any appointment. This will help us being more efficient and making an appointment available to you when you need it the most.
Urgent Appointments
The practice operates a ‘duty doctor’ system to ensure we always have adequate capacity to deal with patients who are acutely unwell and require medical attention the same day. Please contact the reception.
Save the call to the surgery and make the best use of pharmacy and online consultations, if your concern is of a non-urgent nature.
Telephone: 01564 793333 or 01564 792434
Cancelling your appointment
Please make every effort to keep your appointment. If you are unable to make it, please cancel it as soon as possible, using one of the methods below, so that it can be reallocated to another patient in need. Your help will avoid a significant waste of NHS resources and is much appreciated.
Alternatively, you can follow the instructions on your appointment reminder text and reply, to cancel an appointment.
Extended Access
Pre-bookable face to face and telephonic appointments in the evenings and on weekends are available through a service called GP+ for patients across South Warwickshire. No walk-in patients will be accepted.
Registered patients have access to additional evening and weekend appointments via our Enhanced Access service which is delivered by SWGP on behalf our Primary Care Network.
The Enhanced Access service offers convenient appointments to see or speak to a GP, nurse, healthcare assistant or pharmacist.
These pre-bookable and same day appointments are ideal for those who can’t easily attend appointments during normal practice hours. Please note this is not a drop-in service.
For our PCN these Enhanced Access appointments at 2 ‘Hub’ practices: Henley and Alcester.
Appointments are available at one of the Hub practices everyone Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening and all day on a Saturday.
All appointments have to be booked through reception.
Home Visits
It is very important to request a home visit before 10am and only when the patient is too ill to attend the surgery. You may initially receive a telephone consultation from the doctor who will discuss your symptoms with you before deciding if they need to visit.
Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes to do a home visit. Consultations at the surgery are safer for patients as home visits are associated with the risk of poorer standards of care compared to a normal surgery consultation.
